Workshops and Special Events—Summer/Fall 2012

Faculty and Academic Development plans, implements, and evaluates a wide array of workshops and related events each year.  Topics for the workshops are derived from a variety of data: state and national trends in higher education, local issues and needs, evaluations from previous workshops, and conversations with faculty.  While some workshops feature regionally or nationally renowned speakers, Appalachian faculty members with special interest or expertise in the topic facilitate most of the workshops.  Our workshops are open to all full- and part-time faculty members.

For a description of each workshop and/or to register on-line, click on the titles below.

To suggest a new workshop topic...If you have suggestions for future Faculty and Academic Development workshops, we want to hear from you!  If you would like to facilitate a Faculty and Academic Development workshp or if you are interested in a particular workshop topic, please contact us.
